The Grand Valley region will kick off our Economic Development Week May 7th-13th. Economic Development Week was created by The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) in commemoration of its 90-year anniversary as the largest professional membership organization for economic developers.

The goal of Economic Development Week (EDW) is to increase awareness for local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities and increase the quality of life.

Last year, the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce, along with its partners, received two awards from IEDC for their efforts during Economic Development Week including:

International Economic Development Council Excellence in Economic Development
Silver Award recipient for the Economic Development Week Campaign – Economic Development Week, Population 25,000 -200,000

International Economic Development Council Excellence in Economic Development
Silver Award recipient for the Regionalism & Cross-Border

A variety of activities involving the Business Incubator, GJEP, the Chamber, and other community partners scheduled for the week of May 7th-13th will be available soon. Be sure to stay connected for updates and ways you can get involved! For any questions, contact C.J. Rhyne at 970-263-2917 or cj@gjchamber.org.
