With the pace of change it is imperative that every successful business incorporate ongoing training for all employees, including business owners. The Chamber offers a robust schedule of onsite classes related to business issues and helps promote other local education opportunities offered by our various economic development partners.
In partnership with Colorado Mesa University, the Chamber offers a Workplace Education Scholarship for employees taking classes at the University. Applications, which must be approved by an employee’s supervisor can be found here (link to application).
We also know that not everyone can get away from their business to attend those classes so the organization has partnered with Global Classroom, an online platform that offers over 1000 classes from leadership in the workplace to maximizing your use of databases like Quick Books and Microsoft Office.
With the Sponsorship of Microsoft, we are able to offer a three month trial at no cost to businesses. That gives you and others in your workplace access to all courses. Take as many of them as you would like. After the three month trial period you will have the opportunity to continue to utilize Global Classroom via Chamber University on a monthly per employee subscription rate. For more information on the program contact Chamber Staff Lead Trisha Martinez.
