In the TV show, many budding entrepreneurs walk away without a “deal” but when the Chamber and Courtyard by Marriott host our Young Entrepreneurs Academy participants on April 4th, 6:00 PM at the Courtyard by Marriott, nine young business owners will all walk away with some funding to help them launch their own companies. This year nine members of the class have met the benchmarks necessary to pitch their ideas to a panel of YEA! sponsors and members of the public are invited to attend and watch these presentations. Middle and high school students that may want to be part of the next Academy and become CEOs of their own companies next year are particularly encouraged to attend this event.

One of YEA! participants will be selected to represent the program in a regional competition that could lead to up to $50,000 of scholarship funding should they win at the national level.

The program is underwritten locally by the following who will also have representatives on the Investor panel: City of Grand Junction, Home Loan Insurance, Mesa County Workforce Center, Capco, JGMS, Fisher’s Market Premium Natural Meats, Mesa County Business Education Foundation, US Bank, Chick-fil-A, Bank of Colorado, Mesa County School District 51, OBJ Group, Community Banks, StarTek, VanWinkle Enterprises, and Alpine Bank.
