While as business professionals, we envy our children and educators who have the summer off, we know that in order to stay successful and profitable it is important to network. Use your Chamber membership and network. Here’s how:
- Join a Leads Group. The Chamber has three leads groups that meet weekly. Composed of 15-25 non competing businesses, members gather for just one hour on Thursday and Friday mornings at 7:30 AM or Thursday noon. During that time they hear a member spotlight, introduce themselves and their companies and provide business leads for one another. In essence, as members of a leads group they agree to act as salespeople and references for each other. If you are interested in being in a leads group contact the Chamber to determine if there is an opening for your industry in one of the groups or to simply visit one of the groups.
- Attend Networking@ Noon. Networking at noon is held on the third Wednesday of the month at a Chamber member restaurant and introduces you to 3-4 business professionals that you may not know. It is a casual opportunity to have lunch and get to expand your business network. We make it easy with conversation starters and doing over the lunch hour. You can attend just one or all twelve throughout the year.
- Attend Business After Hours. Business After Hours is the largest monthly networking event on the Western Slope with approximately 200 people in attendance for this “no program, no speeches, just small group conversation” activity. It is come and go anytime between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM on the last Tuesday of the month.
