We at the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce want to take a moment to recognize the TSA agents who play a critical role in keeping our community connected.
Many of these individuals have now worked more than 30 days without a paycheck, yet they continue to show up each day to ensure our airport remains operational and our economy keeps moving forward.
To support them during this time, the Grand Junction Regional Airport is organizing a gift card drive for TSA employees .
We encourage our business community to participate by donating $10, $20, or $50 grocery or fuel gift cards from retailers such as City Market, Safeway, Walmart, or Sam’s Club. (no cash value) Please note that Visa and Mastercard gift cards cannot be accepted.
Gift cards can be dropped off at:
- The Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce during normal business hours, or
- The Grand Junction Regional Airport at the collection box located on the 2nd floor, just to the right of the TSA checkpoint
If you would like to contribute at a higher level to support these efforts, please email candace@gjchamber.org to coordinate.
In addition, we invite local restaurants and caterers to consider supporting TSA agents by providing “shift meals” throughout the day.
