Have you ever visited the soup kitchen? Spent time at the Persigo Water Plant? Taken an escorted hike with the BLM to learn how they manage our public lands? Had dinner in Denver with the House Minority Leader? If you can say “yes” to all these questions, then you are most likely a graduate of the Mesa County Leadership Class.
This ten-month program is aimed at providing individuals with a passion to serve the community the overview and broad experiences necessary to truly understand their community. Armed with that, they can take up the leadership mantle at various boards and commissions with the ability to see the big picture and a support base that allows them to be risk takers in order to get things done.
Over 250 outstanding local leaders have graduated from the program. Currently the Chamber is seeking applicants for the 2017-2018 class beginning in September 2017 and ending, May 2018. Applications are available online at www.gjchamber.org or if you’d like to discuss the program in greater detail contact Diane at the Chamber office, 970-242-3214. Deadline for applications is June 1st.
