Grand Junction ED Partners Garner Awards from International ED Organization
Efforts by the Economic Development Partners, specifically the Grand Junction Area Chamber, Grand Junction Economic Partnership and the Business Incubator Center to highlight resources available to help create jobs locally were recognized for excellence yesterday, September 27th at the International Economic Development Council Annual Conference in Cleveland.
The ED Week Activities in May of this year garnered the following awards:
- International Economic Development Council Excellence in Economic Development Silver Award recipient for the Economic Development Week Campaign – Economic Development Week, Population 25,000 – 200,000
- International Economic Development Council Excellence in Economic Development Silver Award recipient for Regionalism & Cross-Border
ED Week was celebrated throughout the nation as a way to recognize the various economic development activities undertaken by organizations and individuals and encourage companies to use the services available to assist them with job creation and expansions. The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization serving economic developers. With more than 4,500 members, IEDC is the largest organization of its kind.
This is the first time that Grand Junction has received an award from IEDC and CJ Rhyne of the Grand Junction Chamber was on hand to receive the awards and share the program with other attendees at the conference.
