High School students looking for a Career Exploration Opportunity can take part in the Hire Me First class offered at Western Colorado Community College, starting on June 6, 2016.
Designed to take students on a journey of career exploration, workplace skill development and job place immersion that will put them first when it comes to applying with an employer. It is one thing to get a job, it is another thing to keep that job and excel in the work environment. Learn what it takes to be successful at work. Students today will need special, important skills to be successful in the 21st century. Are you prepared to cultivate these skills and step into your own unique role of leadership? Students may receive one high school elective credit for the class and, up to three high school elective credits for WorkKeys (with a higher level score).
