The Colorado District Office of the Small Business Administration recently released the number and amount of loans issued between October 2014 and June 30, 2015 for Mesa County.  A total of 26 loans were issued for a cumulative amount of $13,603,300.  Timberline Bank was the largest generator of the loans in terms of number and amount, issuing 10 loans for over $8 million, followed by Wells Fargo with six loans totaling $152,000, US Bank with five loans totally $132,000 and Vectra Bank with two loans totally $630,000.

In addition to the SBA Loan programs available through local banking institutions, the SBA also provides funding for a Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) that is located within the Business Incubator Center.  It provides business consulting, technical assistance, and workshops to Mesa County’s small business community.  The SBDC can provide information on licensing, issues to consider when choosing a legal entity, finance, marketing, intellectual property, and much more.  Call (970) 243-5242 for more information.
