For the last six years, Xcel Energy has held an annual Day of Service to honor the anniversary of 9/11 by donating our time to our communities. We invite you to join Xcel employees and other community volunteers for this fun and meaningful day. Work is scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 8am-11am.
This year there are three (3) projects to choose from in Grand Junction:
- Riverside Educational Center: this group will work with representatives of the center to spruce up the neighborhood by removing graffiti
- Strive: this group will be planning and providing maintenance of the Botanical Gardens
- Tamarisk Coalition: this group will help remove weed barrier from cottonwood trees
In order to sign up for any of the above, please visit http://xcelenergydos.ivolunteer.com.
