Candace Carnahan, President and CEO of the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Colorado Chamber Alliance (CCA).
The Colorado Chamber Alliance is a statewide network representing more than 75 local chambers of commerce and over 50,000 businesses across Colorado. The organization works to strengthen chambers through shared resources, professional development, and coordinated advocacy on behalf of the state’s business community.
In this role, Carnahan will help guide the Alliance’s statewide initiatives, support peer chambers in their local efforts, and advance collaboration between regional and state leaders. Her appointment also positions her to step into the role of Chair of the Colorado Chamber Alliance in 2027, further elevating the voice of Western Colorado in statewide conversations about economic growth and policy.

Under Carnahan’s leadership, the Grand Junction Area Chamber has been recognized for its excellence in communications, workforce development, and strong advocacy for the business community. The Chamber recently received the “Highest Achievement in Communications” award from the Colorado Chamber Alliance, highlighting its commitment to transparent, impactful storytelling and community engagement.
Carnahan’s appointment as Vice Chair reinforces the growing influence of the Grand Junction Chamber and the Western Slope business community. It reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that Colorado’s economic success includes every region of the state.
