Applications are now being accepted for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!).
For those that would like more information, the Chamber is hosting a Pizza Party/Information Session for students and parents on Thursday, August 18th, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the Chamber Board Room, at 360 Grand Avenue.
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is an exciting, fun, projects based after-school program that empowers students in grades 6-12 to start and run their own real business or social movement.
Unlike a typical class, in the Academy participants learn the foundations of business as they launch their own company and master key skills from local entrepreneurs and dynamic trips to local businesses.
If you are a student or know one who has demonstrated creativity, innovative ideas, academic effort, determination, enthusiasm, the ability to communicate, and a commitment to your community and family, you can begin learning the skills that will change our life. No business experience is required; only a drive to succeed.
Reservations are not required for the Pizza Party but are appreciated and can be made by calling 970-242-3214. Unable to make the party but want to know more? Download the application and view other materials at www.gjchamber.org and click on the Get Connected tab. You can also contact Diane or Terri at the Chamber (diane@gjchamber.org or terri@gjchamber.org).
