NEW networking event features partnerships from across the valley.

Shortly after kicking off the new year, the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce reached out to fellow business organizations from across our community, which included the Fruita and Palisade Chambers along with the Western Colorado Latino Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professionals Network of Mesa County, in hopes of creating a new and exciting networking opportunity for our local businesses.

Our goal was to create an opportunity that allowed business peers within all of our organizations to engage with each other in hopes of creating meaningful connections from one end of our Valley to the other. By bringing together our memberships, we hope to grow the networks that help keep businesses thriving while also creating a platform for peers to share their expertise and experience with each other.

After months of collaboration, we are excited to announce our partnership with the Palisade Chamber, Western Colorado Latino Chamber and Young Professionals Network in the creation of the GRAND VALLEY BIZMIX.

Kicking off on July 26th, we invite all of our members (and the members of our partner organizations) to “mix and mingle” with new and old connections. Held at the new Bank of Colorado location on Patterson, this event will feature networking at it’s best, tasty treats from our local restaurants, cold beverages, and live music. Raffle prizes from our business community will be given away throughout the evening along with a photo station and more!

Following our inaugural event this Summer, The BizMix will again be held in November featuring Palisade and Talon Winery, and will be continued 3 times a year next year as we travel around the valley to explore our ENTIRE business community.

Candace Carnahan, GJACC Vice President commended the close collaboration from our partners. “As a community, our businesses are interconnected. It doesn’t matter where you are geographically located, each one faces many of the same challenges and navigates the same needs on a daily basis.” Carnahan said. “Creating an opportunity for our combined memberships to strengthen their network for resources, peers, and leads is something that strengthens all of us.”

The strong business climate is a priority among all of the participating organizations while also realizing the added benefit to the individual memberships. “The Palisade Chamber is excited about the opportunity to enhance the value to our membership base by participating in the cross-community collaboration.” said new Palisade Chamber CEO, Jessica Burford.

Come see one of our community’s biggest strengths on display – partnerships and collaborations working hard to keep our economy thriving!
