Mesa County Workforce Center Needs YOUR Help – Wagner Peyser Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
As a long-time partner with the Mesa County Workforce Center (MCWFC), the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce is asking that you support the MCWFC and how it has operated successfully for years. The US Department of Labor is proposing that local recipients of federal funding for workforce assistance be staffed with state employees. For over 14 years the Mesa County Workforce Center has been part of a pilot effort where the employees are actually county employees. This has proven to be highly efficient and has allowed our Workforce Center to be nimble and creative in meeting the needs of both employers and employees.
