Time spent learning translates into a better prepared workforce and the Mesa County Business Education Foundation (MCBEF) is committed to helping identify and support community initiatives that offer opportunities for learning outside the classroom and/or on the job. With that in mind, the foundation has teamed up with School District 51, Mesa County Workforce Center and Mesa County Library to offer a unique opportunity for parents to learn about summer options for younger aged students and summer employment for high schoolers at one location.

The event, dubbed the Summer Youth Options Fair, will take place on Thursday, April 7th from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Grand Mesa Middle School. Booths from a variety of organizations and employers will offer timely information and opportunities for one-on-one dialogue. A partial list of exhibitors includes the Mesa County Library, Western Colorado Community College (offering over 40 camps), John McConnell Math and Science Center, GJ Parks and Recreation Department, CMU MASH Camp, CMU STEM Camp, Creative Avenues, Mesa County Workforce Center and Girl Scouts. There is no cost to attend and the Chamber wishes to thank our Sponsors: Western Rockies Federal Credit Union, KKCO-TV and Magic 93.1.
