Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business and they create two out of every three new jobs in the United States each year.
The Chamber invites its member to participate in celebrating small businesses locally by attending one of these events;
- Rolling Ribbon Cutting, May 1st, Main Street. Join the Chamber staff and Diplomats along with the Downtown Business Improvement District in celebrating the many new small businesses we have in the downtown core. It will be the one ribbon cutting after another and you will want to be part of it. No need to RSVP but if you would like more details, contact Trisha@gjchamber.org.
- Colorado Energy and Manufacturing Forum, Breakfast with Congressman Tipton and Industry Leaders, May 3rd, 7:00 AM to 9:35 AM at the Grand Vista Hotel. Hosted by the Colorado Business Roundtable and the Consumer Energy Alliance this event will feature remarks by the Congressman and a panel presentation on energy and manufacturing issues. There is no cost to attend but registration is required and can be made at https://energy-manufacturing-grand-junction.eventbrite.com.
