Chamber Banquet

Running a business is not easy. Behind every storefront, service, and job is a long list of challenges that do not always make headlines. Tight margins. Workforce pressures. Rising costs. Constant change. Yet, across Mesa County, businesses show up every day anyway. They solve problems, support employees, and keep our local economy moving forward.

That is why we take time each year to come together as a business community.

Our Annual Banquet is open to Chamber members, stakeholders, and businesses from across Mesa County. It is an intentional pause. A chance for all of us to step away from the day to day demands of work and come together to recognize the effort, collaboration, and heart it takes to sustain a strong local economy.

Business can be demanding, and that is exactly why taking time to celebrate matters. Celebration reminds us why the work is worth it and reinforces the relationships that help businesses navigate challenges and find opportunity. The Annual Banquet is designed to bring people together for an evening of connection, reflection, and appreciation.

Throughout the evening, there is ample opportunity to network and build relationships. Conversations that start over dinner often turn into partnerships, mentorships, new ideas, and renewed momentum for the year ahead. In a community like ours, those connections are essential.

The evening also supports two programs that invest directly in Mesa County’s future leaders. Proceeds from the Annual Banquet benefit the Mesa County Leadership Program and the Young Entrepreneur Academy. These programs help develop confident leaders, support professional growth across industries, and give young people hands on experience turning ideas into real businesses. When you attend, you are investing in both today’s business community and tomorrow’s leaders.

A meaningful part of the evening is recognizing those who exemplify the best of our business community. We will honor a Small Business of the Year, recognizing a business with fewer than 25 full time employees that demonstrates excellence, resilience, and community impact. We will also recognize a Large Business of the Year, celebrating an organization with more than 25 full time employees that plays a significant role in job creation, investment, and leadership in Mesa County.

The evening will also include recognition of the Young Professional of the Year, honoring an emerging leader who is already making a meaningful impact through their work and community involvement. In addition, we will recognize a Citizen of the Year, honoring an individual whose service, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting difference in our community.

Last year, we had the opportunity to recognize Innovative Textiles, The Christi Reece Group, Shane Haas of FCI Constructors, and Selena Sanchez of Grand Junction Economic Partnership. Their recognition reflected the many ways businesses and individuals contribute to the strength and vibrancy of our community.

Who will be recognized this year? We hope you will join us to find out.

At its core, the Annual Banquet is a celebration of Mesa County. It is a reminder that while business is not always easy, we are stronger when we come together to recognize hard work, build connections, and celebrate the people who make this place thrive.
