Our Valley is made up of a diverse and vibrant business community, represented by an equally diverse group of business organizations. All of which share a common goal to preserve our strong business climate.
Earlier this year, the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, Western Colorado Latino Chamber of Commerce, Palisade Chamber of Commerce, and the Young Professionals Network of Mesa County unveiled months of collaboration resulting in the Grand Valley BizMix. This unique event provided an opportunity for members of each organization to come together and create new peer-to-peer connections (and reinforce existing ones) which are vital to their daily business success. In addition, it showed the strength these organizations have to work together to support our growing economy.
With over 175 attendees at the successful event in July, our organizations have geared up to bring the second Grand Valley BizMix to our memberships in November featuring Palisade! Hosted at Talon Wines at St. Kathryn’s Cellars, we invite all of our members (and the members of our partner organizations) to join us to establish new and connect with old connections. This event will feature networking at its finest, tasty treats from our local restaurants, warm and cold beverages for Fall, and an interactive photo booth! The goal for these events is to create an opportunity that allows business peers within all of our organizations to engage with each other in hopes of creating meaningful connections from one end of our Valley to the other.
Candace Carnahan, GJACC President/CEO commended the close collaboration from our partners. “As a community, our businesses are interconnected. It doesn’t matter where you are geographically located, each one faces many of the same challenges and navigates the same needs on a daily basis.” Carnahan said. “Creating an opportunity for our combined memberships to strengthen their network for resources, peers, and leads is something that strengthens all of us.”
The strong business climate is a priority among all of the participating organizations while also realizing the added benefit to the individual memberships. “The Palisade Chamber is excited about the opportunity to enhance the value to our membership base by participating in the cross-community collaboration,” said Palisade Chamber CEO, Jessica Burford.
Come see one of our community’s biggest strengths on display – partnerships and collaborations working hard to keep our economy thriving!
