The Colorado General Assembly convenes on January 12th and the Chamber is gearing up to be the voice of business at the State Capitol in 2018.
Our video conference series which offers real-time opportunities to discuss issues with our state delegation begins January 16th and will be held at the Chamber offices in the lower level conference room beginning promptly at 7:00 AM. The calendar and sponsors of these sessions are:

Another major activity of the session will be our annual trip to the Capitol slated for February 22-23, 2018, sponsored by Pinnacol Assurance, Charter Spectrum Business Services, Brady Trucking and United Companies. The agenda is still being developed but speaking requests have been made to the Governor and the new Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Transportation. Stephanie Veck, Colorado Workforce Development Council is already confirmed and representatives from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, State Demographers Office and COGCC have been invited.
Our annual legislators’ dinner, which typically attracts between 25 and 30 lawmakers has been moved to the Charcoal Restaurant which is close to the Capitol. Registration is open for this annual trip and reservations can be made by going to the Chamber website, www.gjchamber.org and clicking on Chamber events or by calling the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce offices (970-242-3214).
