“How to Hire the Right Fit” will be the topic of our Sunrise Seminar on April 4th, 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM in the Chamber lower level conference room.  Curtis Englehart, Mesa County Workforce Center Director will help guide participants through the process of determining the right candidate for open positions in their companies.   The Mesa County Workforce Center has a wide range of assessment tools and recruitment strategies that can help any size business get it right the first time in hiring new employees.

Why should you attend?  Businesses already know that the cost of turnover can range from 30 to 50% for entry-level employees.  That can translate into costs of $15,000 for employees making $30,000 to $40,000 per year if you make the wrong decision on just one job position.   This 90-minute seminar will feature a presentation and plenty of time for interaction and dialogue about this important topic.  And this seminar costs you nothing more than your time due to the generosity of other businesses.  The event is presented by Home Loan Insurance and Nationwide and sponsored in part by Bechtel and Santo.  The event is open to any business in the community and registration is not required but is encouraged for planning purposes.  Call the Chamber (970-242-3214) or register online at www.gjchamber.org/events.
