After the monumental year that was 2022, I have been spending a lot of time looking towards 2023 and our next chapter here at the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce. In doing so, I remembered this quote and was immediately struck with that that means in relation to our organization.
What is the Grand Junction Chamber bringing to the new year?
To answer this, I couldn’t help but be inspired by our organization’s biggest asset –our people.
The individuals who keep this organization not just “on track” but “full steam ahead” are beyond compare and cannot be quantified. The tireless commitment to serve our business community personally, professionally, and without falter is a testament to their shared understanding of how important the work we do is to the vitality of this place we all call home.
Without fanfare or recognition, the staff here within the Chamber show up each day to serve you. When you look at the amazing things accomplished by this small but mighty team, it’s absolutely unbelievable. With over 40 events throughout the year, nearly 800 members to service and support, and a continually changing environment, this unrelenting group of 7 are rare in value. This past year they were asked to navigate uncharted waters as our leadership underwent change. Although faced with uncertainty, each one stepped up to ensure our members and partners never felt the impact of this transition. I can only describe working with them as an honor and privilege. Now, as I look toward a future full of opportunity, I couldn’t think of a better team to bring into the new year with our organization.
A sense of duty and responsibility shines from our volunteer leaders. Identified and recruited for their insights, perspectives, and proven leadership, this (already busy) core of individuals never fails up to support our business community in ways that are truly priceless. Always thoughtful and respectful of each other’s opinions, our Board of Directors never fails to keep business priorities at heart and service above self. Without a doubt, they will be a critical import into 2023.
Lastly, we bring YOU—our business community.
We often speak about recognizing what it means that each of you choose to invest in our organization. Through memberships, partnerships, and collaborations, you give of yourselves for the greater good of our economic prosperity and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have you by our sides in the coming year.
So as we ring in the new year, we bring the people who make us who we are and knowing that, we can’t help but be overjoyed as we envision the accomplishments and prosperity that awaits.
