The Colorado General Assembly convenes on January 11th and the Chamber is gearing up to be the voice of business at the State Capitol in 2020. The Chamber Board adopted a set of legislative guidelines in December that will help guide the organization’s lobbying efforts under the dome.
Our video conference series which offers real time opportunities to discuss issues with our state delegation begins January 15th and will be held at the Chamber offices in the lower-level FCI Conference Room beginning promptly at 7:00 AM. The calendar and sponsors for these sessions are:
• 1/14/20 EIS Solutions
• 1/28/20 Home Loan Insurance
• 2/11/20 James R Avillar and Associates
• 3/10/20 Entrada Consulting
• 3/24/20 Bechtel, Santo, and Severn
• 4/7/20 Express Employment Professionals
• 4/21/20 Xcel Energy
• 5/5/20 River City Consultants
In addition to the conferences, there will be a Legislative Wrap Up Breakfast, sponsored by Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, PC on May
20, 2020. Another major activity of the session will be our annual trip to the Capitol, slated for February 27-28, 2020, presented by Pinnacol Assurance and Charter Communications, sponsored in part by Grand Valley Power and the Colorado Petroleum Council.
The agenda is still being developed, but will include topics such as Business Regulatory Climate, Education Funding, and more! PLUS don’t forget about dinner with members of the general assembly for an up-close opportunity to meet your state leaders! Registration is now open for the trip and can be made by contacting Candace at 970-263-2919 or
