Transloading from the rail is an asset many companies take for granted. Here in Grand Junction we have many businesses however, who watch their needed materials pass right by us on the rail. These items make their way to Salt Lake City or Denver typically, and then must be trucked back to us over the mountains by semi-trailer or other means. The issues are multifaceted, but the premise is, it costs our companies exorbitantly more time and money than it should.
