Education in our Valley has a big impact on business in our community. From ensuring a strong talent pipeline into the workforce after graduation to enticing employees who may be thinking of relocating to Grand Junction, the quality of our school system does determine the quality of workforce in the Grand Valley.

Many decisions that form our quality education system locally come from the School Board. This fall, three seats are up for grabs and seven candidates have successfully made it onto the November 9th ballot.

All seven candidates have been invited to join the Grand Junction Chamber and it’s membership for the Quarterly Membership Luncheon on September 13th. During the luncheon candidates will face questions regarding their positions on decisions being made within our school district and the impact they have on our business community.

Attendees will be able to submit questions as time permits.

Local businesses who have expanded their operations by adding additional jobs and/or investing in capital improvements will also be recognized during this luncheon. If your business would like to be recognized for your recent expansion, please contact Elisa at elisa@gjchamber.org

Over 100 people are anticipated to attend and pre-registration will be required.
