The state’s largest energy provider late last year unveiled a proposal to secure low-cost power for customers, stimulate economic-development opportunities in rural communities, grow the state’s use of renewable and clean-energy resources, and reduce carbon emissions. Xcel Energy’s proposal, called the Colorado Energy Plan, could lead to $2.5 billion in clean energy investments in rural Colorado, where wind and solar resources are especially abundant.
To learn about all elements of the plan, join us for our next energy briefing sponsored by Shear, Inc. and HRL Compliance on Wednesday, March 28th, 12:00 PM at the DoubleTree Hotel.
Kelly Flennekin, Area Manager, Community & Local Government Affairs at Xcel Energy will offer us an inside look at this important plan for all of us as rate payers and as business owners. Registration is available online at www.gjchamber.org or by calling 970-242-3214.
